Also I live the 2 dyno sheets and the comparison between the 2 , looks like dyno dynamics is reading higher but the difference isnt as much as I was expecting (thought it would be about 10kw diff) did they say what the deal was with doing the run in 3rd? I know dyno's and tuners can be a touchy subjet with some so I posted both. They were both done in the same month, at the same time of day, in the same city, 3 degrees different air temperature. With all the possible variables with strapping down, tyre pressure, intake temp probe etc etc the result was both were within 2% of each other and 1% of the average for the two. These two shops are the only places in cairns people take turbos too. Both of these shops do dyno runs in 3rd for the ZF gearbox in the turbos, I believe it is a safety thing with 4th gear getting to 230 (apparently ) at the revs the dyno dynamics printout goes up too.Aiming for 340rwkw without increasing the boost, hopefully by easter but possibly june. Had the car tuned by elite auto in Brisbane with 337rwkw so you can see the difference in being up here in Townsville.Pete's dyno reads accurate to for all the sceptical people out there. Had my blown ute previously from Brisbane and dynoed from within a few kw of each other on both dyno dynamics.will post up my tune from Brisbane's elite auto when I find it.The drag strip read correct with my mph (112-113mph) then as the first run on the dyno was the 318 then within the minute backed up with 297 then after about 5mins idleing with the big fan blower and minus air filter (testing to see difference) did a 301rwkw.So either the Rapids intercooler is crap dropping 20rwkw or another factor is there.$speed auto also, BA mk1Here are the other graphs with boost and afr's-

I'd like to see back to back runs done in 3rd and 4th to compare rwkw and torque consecutively. Think I might get him to do it, next tune, just so I can see wat the difference in readouts is. If I lived in townsville I'd drive to see Dave in mackay. I'm not to sure what you mean by "The drag strip read correct with my mph (112-113mph)" is that with the brissie or townsville tune. I don't know much about the 4 speeds what is normal for their mph vs hp Were both those tunes with the same mods? 13 degree ambient temp difference too.mattyb - your plazmaman stg1 kit is still sitting in my cupboard and I just bought an exhaust off here too. that's why I'm aiming for 340rwkw without increasing the boost, hopefully by easter but possibly june. The dyno readout at TMS is with the brisbane tune. and ran at the drags here in Townsville.Dave will tune it for me when I get around to fitting my PW surge tank, port and flow the wastegate hole (keeping stndard flapper) and buy a 8psi actuator. Will also get Dave to fit 60lb injectors as I only have 39lb ford motorsport injectors that eugene was selling ages ago so not sure if they are close to maxing but the bigger ones will give me more headroom anyway. Also looking at changing the rear muffler on my 3.5in xforce system as Dave also said its restricted, which it is. I looked into the tips the other day and they taper to like 2in! also looking at a gutted cat but dont tell the RTA.I'd be happy with about 330rwkw but for it to be as reliable as possible so that's why I am doing all the little things to get it sorted. This was on a Mainline dyno done in Mackay on a humid day.
sexual harrassment panda I see a red door and I want to paint it black Donating Members 5,919 Member For: 15y 3m 3d Gender: Male Location: Far north queensland Posted 06/03/10 10:59 PM Author Share Posted 06/03/10 10:59 PM well it's booked in for a tune in a few weeks, a couple of bits of gear to go on.Plazmaman stage 1 intercooler kit - stealth black of course , intercooler pictured below. Custom 4" dump and cat reduced down after the cat to mate up with a twin 2 1/2" Xforce stainless exhaust. Both the intercooler kit and exhaust can support 380rwkw with the right mods, but with the f6 airbox and keeping it to a relatively safe boost level I'll be happy with 340. I figure gaining 15kw from the cooler kit and 15kw from the exhaust puts me around 335 to 340rwkw and that will do me nicely. Should be coming onto boost a fair bit earlier too and have more powaars all through the rev range. Might have to ramp up the boost a bit slower to help with traction in third and to save my tyres/license.
