ok now I get it! so if im running a twin 2.5" system from the cat back and installing a 4inch dump, what sort of cat should I be looking at?? id need something with a 4" inlet and outlet? ....or would I be better off getting a smaller dump pipe?

I just dont want to buy all the parts and then find out id done the wrong thing!

Not sure tyr33d, but a 200cpi cat is good, but a 100cpi cat is even better. It has half the amount of cells inside it, therefore its less of a restriction.

Normda, if you get a 4" dump, I'd get a 4" inlet/outlet cat (5" body maybe) and then you will have to figure out how to go from a single 4" to a twin 2.5" from there on.

Maybe the exhaust shop can make up a y pipe to do that for you.

I've always gone to Prestige Exhausts in Malaga. Give Dom a ring, say Michael with the silver XR6 Turbo recommended him, and see if he gives you a good price. I always get my cars done there and so do all my family and friends.

Haven't heard any good/bad feedback about Joondalup exhausts, sorry mate.

Ideally by the sounds of it you would be after this, 4" bellmouth dump with a 5" cat that then splits into twin 2.5" to connect to rest of system. It is here My link at Xforce but it aint cheap, pic is the bottom left of all the clickable pics.

Bit pricey at $1300 thou.

Go to ebay and get a 5" body 3.5" inlet Scottsrods high flow cat.. $215 plus $20 postage.. They flow great and are quiet...I had a 3 inch high flow cat on my car and it was holding me back at 290rwkw..Put a Scottsrod one on and now I got 307 RWKW with just a replacement cat..... Worth the money :roflmbo:
