I have a question to all the FG turbo ute owners. How many ks do you get from your utes when you fill them up with fuel before the guage start moving. The reason I ask as I have had trouble filling the tank as the pump use to click off all the time telling me the tank was full and I knew it was not. After about 50ks the guage use to move. The dealer found the tank had rotated so they re aligned as they reckon..Fixed the filling problem with the pump but I still dont think the tank is actually full because my old BA the guage started moving at about 80 to 100 ks.Your thoughts please

I have that problem sometimes, it depends on which pump I get which determines how often it clicks...if at all.

I just keep filling and move the nozzle around a bit if it clicks continually. I know it's REALLY full when it clicks and I get a bit of a petrol spray back out. Just a bit of a spray, doesn't quite flood back out.

My fuel gauge however reads properly. I think the continual clicking may be a result of the petrols pipe design however you get used to working around it. Í'm not exactly sure how many kays I get before it moves however it drops consistently through out the tank.

I found that filling up used to be a long process. I found that if you put the nozzle all the way in then pull it out about an inch it fills fine until it clicks off as it should.

No probs filling mine. Once filled, the gauge moves after about 20 K's and drops like a lead sinker till halfway, and then it starts to read a tad more realistic..

meh I just put fuel in it every week - dont ever worry about really looking at the gauge - but yes it is a bitch to fill best solution I found is fill up at a servo with a big slope to the bowser and put the fuel cap up hill - only problem is you can actually overfill it lol

Sometimes I get 100kms + before it starts to move.

If you have any problems with clicking nozzles then pull it out until the end of it is just holding the flap open. This will also allow you to fill it to the very top. Might actually explain the 100ks I get.

Mine seems to drop pretty heavily straight after refilling. The first 1/8th of a tank just disappears.

When filling up, I always do what Paulie says and dont stick it in as deep! (LOL, that can be taken out of context!)

On a fuel economy note, on the freeway mine gets down to 8.9L/100km's. And that's including spooking any Expensive Daewoo I see!
