yeah my biggest problem was space to run the lines, also running mechanical oil.

There isnt much room to get the lines running nice without kinking them. which sucks.

when I put in the 90's the depth was ok but then they are to low, you just gotta play around with the angles on the fittings to get it all nice.

Its painful though.

Nearly wish I'd just paid the extra and got electrical full sweep. I like mechanical for some reason though.

You're running mechanical oil pressure/temp in the cabin?

Apart from being illegal, that's not a very good idea as a leak could send hot oil under pressure into the car.

yeah I know its not "legal" I'm only running pressure. that said though hot oil in the cabin is not a good thing, I totaly agree.

I just made sure all the fittings are 100% and nothing rubs on burrs etc and use a good thread sealant.

Then again what is legal these days. I'm guessing the worst that can happen is oil in the icc, its not going to blow over the drivers face, oranywhere dangerous that I can think of ?

Just gotta keep an eye on it.

Worst thing that can happen is that the inside of your car catches on fire from 100+ degree oil going everywhere. Im not saying what you should do with your car but with oil id be going electric. Well actually I already have an electric oil temp gauge + mechanical boost.

I have mechanical cobalt gauge and electrical oil pressure gauge with a pod from rapid. I didnt even need the elbow for the boost fitting the straight fitting provided fits through the hole at the back and the spades had heaps of room. all I did was cut the threads coming out of the gauge

WELL.......

I went to CMP and chatted with the lads there.....and I got 3 SpeedFlow fittings and "YES" they give a 90 degree bend off the Mechanical gauges...

Part No. 914-02

90 DEG M/F PIPE ELBOW

Fits on the back, but I haven't had time to connect everything else up....

So I just need to get one fitting? So its just a 90 degree with a barb fitting on the other side or the same sorta thing as the stock fitting with the olive thing you gotta crimp the line onto?

Edit:

I see what you mean, 914917932.jpg then screw you standard fitting on the the bottom of that, so when you look down through the dash where the pods sits theres alot of room directly underneath (90 degree) from the gauge?

Yeah....but you would need to perhaps put the 90 degree elbow on a 45 degree angle towards the centre of the tripod....if that makes sense....

0 0 0 <---Gauges

\ / <---Elbows on a 45 degree angle....
