I've also owned an ex cop ute, 2005 BA Mk2 XLS. it was a dog squad car. Apart from the dog hair in the tray, it was immaculate!

Even taking it easy it was pretty responsive and handled really well. The ride was smooth and even in the wet the car kept good control. There were no weird noises coming from under the bonnet or from the diff.Price wise I got him down to $26,000 including stamp duty which is better then $26,750 plus SD.He fixed the screw holes in the center console by replacing it with a new piece.Had a look at a few others today and the closest I could get to match the features was $27,990 plus SD and he wouldn't go much cheaper and this was for a white ex-chaser with screw holes and marks from the roof racks. This one had also done 15,000 more klms.

Posted 14/02/10 09:55 AM Share Posted 14/02/10 09:55 AM if your that keen for a exchaser, why dont you do direct to where the dealers get them from and visit the govt auction website. They currently have a fixed priced 08 T with 67ks going for $24300. Get that and fix the holes yourself

I find dealers to be a rip-off most of the time. Just keep checking carsales everyday.
