Front Diff Bushes

Wow, all these issues with a Territory is very scarey!

I just had my front replaced by the dealership through the place I bought my TTG and I asked to keep the parts they replaced. The box has rear bushes marked on them, so I dont know if they actaully done them

Has anyone got pictures of them?

I will take some pictures of the ones Ford replaced later tonight and post them up.

here is the picture of the bushes replaced by the dealership, not sure if it's front or rear as the box has 2 different part numbers

Unfortunately the Territory turbo rotors are not available aftermarket, unless they have very recently become so. Ive bought and fitted some Brembo 6spot calipers and the matching 355mm rotors, so for me at least, rotors are a non-issue. I can now choose from DBA or anyone supplying the 355mm rotor for BA/BF/FG.. I also get all my rotors cryogenically treated so they last heaps longer.. well worth the small investment.

Any thoughts on the bushs I posted if they are front or rear ones just by there look? I guess I dont trust the FORD dealer

We bought an 07 TTG about a year and half ago and needed to get the front bushings done under warranty at ~70 000km's

Our local trusted mechanic picked it up and then we had a few dramas getting the local Ford Dealer Nuford to fix it

Initially they tried telling us the "rear" bushings were OK even though we had told them and I even showed them photos and it was noted clearly on the work order that it was the fronts Eventually got it sorted but wasn't happy that my local mechanic was able to pick it up easily yet they couldn't when they had the vehicle for a day

Haven't had any dramas with the rears or bushings or brakes so far

There are now aftermarket front diff bushes available from Nolathane Part #49197, and if you or your mechanic is keen, they are able to be fitted without removing the diff or suspending the engine. Simply unbolt the front diff and slide it sideways away from the mounts, carefully cut away the rubber and the steel original bush "shell" and follow the instructions for fitting the new bushes. The new Nolathane bushes are in two halves with a steel tube insert and can be slid into position then tightened up securely. It has been done on the ground with the vehicle securely supported on stands, with the LHF wheel off and caliper removed and tied up out of the way, but would be much easier on a hoist. Remember to orientate the new bushes correctly as per the instructions and you're away. So far, there has been little feedback if there is any massive diffference in NVH, but anything would be better than flogged out original bushes upsetting front drive shaft pinion angles etc. So, this method allows for a more cost effective way of fixing the weak factory bushings without huge cost involved. Hopes this helps.And always, if you are unsure, get a quote from your mechanic and be safe. Should still be heaps cheaper than it used to be.
