just picked up a pair of toyo proxe R1Rs for really cheap but my tyres still probably have another 5-10k in them so I dont want to change them over just yet, so I want to store these tyres but is there a method of storing them so they dont get dry and become useless? a mate of mine seems to think theres a lotion u can buy for them and then u wrap them up in glad wrap? :roflmbo: any ideas? and has anyone tried the R1Rs? any good? whats normal price on a 245/40/18?

It rubs the lotion on it's skin....or else it gets the hose again! Yes Precious, it gets the hose...

I'd think laying them on the side may be marginally better? That or turn them like wine bottles, heh.

Stored out of sunlight (that's why they are black) and away from electric motors as they generate ozone- both of which degrades the tyres.

On their sides lifted off concrete would probably also be good....otherwise they'll :stupid:
