Had my Plazmaman cold side piping on for a few weeks now, just wondering if this is the correct setup, or whether it should be blocked, and if so, is there a different sound, or is it best to leave it as it is now. If I block it up, is that whats referred to as plumb back?

OR

Should I purchase a bigger BOV than this? Am running 310rwkw@15psi

Cheers all!

Tim

Would you plumb it back to the air intake like the factory and Process west systems?

whats wrong with the BOV supplied? where is the weakness?

Ok cool thanks guys, but what will it sound like if I block up the hole? will it decrease/increase performance?

And what exactly does plumb back mean?

Mate it looks like you have the BOV big hose on the wrong way, the pressure side looks like its connected on the vent side.I dont know how the internals of the valve works but the little hose is a vacume hose that releases the pressure when you back off the throttle. where the air comes out looks like its attached to the pressure side

plumb back means run a hose back from the outlet valve to the air intake so the air goes back to the turbo

if you block the valve off there is no point in having one... there are a few threads here suggesting that you can block it off but it seems a uneducated move IMO

You mean from the end that's currently open on my setup to the hose on the CAI, right?

Wont be doing it then, will either leave it or plumb it back to the CAI, if I understood what you said before..

the 25mm outlet on the side of the BOV should be connected to the cooler pipe. and the other outlet should be

vented out. the air should be coming into the side of the BOV. silly ford design.

its not often I stick up for Ford, but its actually a silly Bosch design. Not ford. They have been using this BOV for years and use it on other cars such as VW's and Audi's
