Manifold To Turbo Bolt And Nut Sizes

I seem to have lost my lower rear (towards the firewall) manifold to turbo nut at some point today (the exhaust leak is quite noticable :)).

After searching for a bit, the studs would appear to be 10mm and the nuts 14mm and that the Nord-Lock washers would be the way to go (size of M10).

I'm looking to verify this information before I hit Coventrys on Monday.

If someone could do that, I'd be much appreciative of the help. :beerchug:

Nord locks are what I used on my old BA. They worked well mate. I did my turbo to dump and turbo to manifold and also where the turbo itself splits. Got sick of tightening them up and replacing them as they fell out.No such problem with the FG so far thank goodness. Also bought mine at Coventry fasteners.

Grabbed the Nord-Locks (had to buy the whole box :buttrock:), hose clamps and nuts..turns out that the bloody stud is buggered.

Time for a new turbo back exhaust I reckon..ohhh Siiiiimonnn *rings XFT* When I do that, I'll get the other halfs new Terri tuned too. :buttrock:

hey guys

my car is at the mechanics atm, one of the turbo to manifold bolts is missing, and the other 3 were very loose(even though they were tighten last service), I know its a common thing for them to come loose, what are these nord locks???? are they the best way to stop them coming loose???? is it worth putting a gasket in too??? or is there a reason why ford didnt put one in ??????

cheers

I lost one of my bolts from turbo-manifold (fwd inner) the hardest one to get to, so I just replaced it with an m10x25 with a spring washer. Much easier than having to wind in a stud then fit a nut to it, will be interesting to see how it holds up.
