My mate just bought a G-TECH device that measures 0-100 and quarter miles ect. Anyway we just drove out to a nice deserted area and I got to see what my non-turbo XR6 can do!!!

Firstly the car is a BA XR6 N/A with the only mod being a Herrod cat-back exhaust (which set me back $550 fitted). The temperature was 25 degrees, road perfectly flat, half a tank of premium unleaded and one passenger on board. Car has standard tyres ect. complete with spare wheel and jack. in other words STOCK.

Best 0-100 from two runs was 6.55secs

Best 400m from two runs was 15.31 @ 145km/h

I was very impressed with the figures seeing it was only my second attempt at ever launching the car hard. We were turning around for a third run when an SS police car cruised passed so we decided to call it a day.

Im now saving for extracters - maybe I can pull a sub 6sec pass???

- while 6.5 is quick (for an N/A) I realise I could do better than 15.3 down the quarter. I shifted into fourth at only 3500rpm so im hoping to repeat the run on Tuesday night.

Will keep you posted - hoping to get into the 14's.

Go "Team N/A"! :pimp:

Sounds impressive. I'd be interested on what ours can do with the mods we have had done. She's been dyno tuned but I haven't had any 'real' fun. Backing off once changing into 3rd on the SSS is getting a little "ho hum"...lol. Best 'shoot out' run on the dyno was 232.6HP@RW, in 'real mode', she has not been under 210HP@RW, Roughly 170-5kw@RW. When launching, she's way punchier now. Extractors would definatley help in the overall performance and general breathing of the engine but would not shave that much off your time. Well worth doing though. A manual may be a different story as you have full control. I'd be interested in what she does after you get the extractors installed.

yeah c'mon ed-au, hurry up and start the Team N/A club LOL.

maybe we can teach those show ponies in their turbos a thing or too...

with your mods you should be able to beat my 6.55 - remember a turbo does about 5.9 stock so we only need another half second or so!!

On tuesday when I repeat the run ill kick out my passenger to save weight and see how I go!

When that time is run on a proper drag strip then I'll believe it. I've been in alot of cars that seem to do great times on a G Tech but when taken to a drag strip just can't do the same. I'm not saying that Merlin is lying just that I question the accuracy of G Techs.

Hey I tried, nobody was interested, they just said they were in one thread...

I'm for it because "Team N/A" will include not only us in our XR6 N/A's but the XT's, XR8's and the GT's.

Show ponies.....lol. Well I'd still love to have one as mate, the things you can do to the XR6T, it's just mind blowing. We saw some incredible horsepower at Redcliffe Dyno & Performance for the BNE Dyno Day. The APS info and dyno day would also be very interesting to attend.

Hey I cannot quite afford a "T" so our little N/A sprinter is enough for me, (well through the 1st 2 gears anyway until I change into 3rd and it's game over with a "T"). She very well could beat 6.55 seconds. I'd still be interested on what she would run.

3rd gear in SSS, don't know if everyone's is the same but it's a real disappointment. 1st & 2nd are great! 3rd? Why bother! I have also had a couple of courtesy XT's and they did not seem suffer as much in 3rd.
