Hi all, just a quick question, wanting to know the differences between BF2 and FG turbo conrods and pistons. Ford have stated that both XR6 & F6 (FG) are identical. Therefore is there anybody who knows detail differences, such has power capabilities etc, any assistance would be appreciated, cheers.

Ford have stated that both XR6 & F6 (FG) are identical.

They have? :spoton:

In the BF yeah, but I believe the internals in the FG between XR6T and F6 are different.

You won't find any documented details anywhere, but you can check out this thread for a bit of discussion about it.

Im with tab. I was sure the internals from FG XR6 to F6 were different.

I have spoken to ford and parts numbers for FG XR6 and F6 are the same, surely then they are internally identical, cheers

FG F6 Rods and pistons look the same as previous bf2 xr6/f6 rods/pistons.

I can't comment on the FG XR6T stuff however, But if they have identical part numbers, that's your answer.

Seems we are getting closer to the original question. It is interesting that BF2 and FG intrnals look similar although BF2 parts numbers are different but that could be due to model change, but your imput is appreciated, cheers
