The first thing I noticed after buying a modified BA turbo was some nasty vibrations when decelerating from high speed. I've been told the stock BA rotors are quite average and are prone to warping. So I'm ready to chuck them in the bin. As far as aftermarket rotors and pads are concerned, does anyone have any recommendations? With decent rotors and pads, do the stock calipers do a reasonable job? I have no idea how much I should be spending and wanted to arm myself with some info before marching into a brake specialist who wants to sell me thousands of bucks worth of brembos.Cheers,Gus Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/65544-ba-brakes/ Share on other sites

I have only done 7000k with this setup but seems fine so far. If your problem is warped rotors you would feel it under brakes, especially downhill, not just when decelerating. I should have written 'braking from high speed', it's definitely the rotors. I went the bendix pro pads myself only downside is they claim to be "dustfree".... unfortunately not the case Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/65544-ba-brakes/#findComment-975747 Share on other sites
