As the topic suggests, I'm looking to install a push start button to replace the turn key, and then eventually install a proximity card device for locking/unlocking/starting the vehicle.....

Are there spots on the dash you can't install it ?? Or is the only spot where the FPV button goes ?? I've never pulled a BA dash out before or seen behind one, so before I go ripping stuff out I just wanna check what I can and can't do....

Any help is greatly appreciated..

Cheers guys,

Kilmo

I kno that behind the steering wheel eg where the trac control and fuel buttons are you cant mount them there . if you reach under your footwell on the drivers side u can put your hand right up there

There are heaps of places you could fit one.

You could put it where the FG's have them, infront of the gearstick where the power supply is.

I am interested to see how you plan to do the proxy key with the Ford Smartlock.

Good luck cutting into your dash. Let me know how it goes as I'm wanting to cut a hole where the fpv start buttons go but put a boost gauge there instead.
