Whats everyone quickest 60 foot time running a Zf and How:?

paul from elites 1.58 60ft from memory you wont be able to do that on the standard tailshaft too regulary it will end up like a twistie

If my memory serves correctly a NOS'd & Kenne Belle'd BF GT tuned by Dave (Blueboost) has pulled a 1.57.

I do not know the car personally so I can only assume it was running MT ET Street's or similar

I dare say having the shot of gas helped the GT whale off the line in such a timely manner.

what's even more incredible is that time was done on the townsville strip - but it was prepped

best ive managed was a 1.81 but in my defense it was at townsville a fair while after any major meet & on old mt's. that's after abit of practice to, theres definatly a knack to it especially to get down into the 1.6's like some have.

I was always mindful of the tailshaft & std input shaft but now with a chromemoly tailshaft & heattreated input shaft I might have half a chance to improve on that

Paul from Elite uses Mickey Thompson ET`s.

However, the man can drive. He`s had lots of practice and knows how to launch a car.

LOL the night I raced him, he was in the Elite VY SS and I was in my Typhoon.

Paul nearly ripped the steering wheel off the SS on the launch.

hahaha its still worth a giggle thinking back.

Best I`ve done in my ZF car is 1.7 ish.. I know I could do better.
