I get a lot of fuzz for all channels and can barely hear them. The previous owner said he may have knocked the aerial plug whilst installing the pods. As far as I know the car has no external aerial, so could it just be the plug or is it a common problem?

Check to see if the rear screen has all the plugs put in as this is where the aerial is located. If it is AM only, it could be due to having a metalic tint installed as this stuffs up reception.
