I find because it does EVERYTHING, I use it all the time. I rated my N95 as the best phone I ha ever used, that's how I rate my 3GS. But each to their own, I have a mate who went from an iphone back to a N95 cos he hated the touch screen. Also, I charge my phone every night as I use it as my alarm, so I have no probs with it goinf flat, but I think the takl time is about the same as the N95, but the stand by is only 85% of what the N95 can do.My advice, go for it. or wait till the end of the year for the iPhone 4Gs... it's a killer!!! Solid metal backing plate and since it was jail broken it had all the good stuff. It was fixable but since it was first gen I had no support in Australia so I upgraded to the blackberry bold. Better email and support.Games and stuff were awesome but like MattyB said, they become very unsociable. The facebook of phones if you ask meI always had nokias before the iphone and they seemed to get worse and worse. One reason I chose not to get the 3G iphone is that I also have a touch so I didnt want 2 toys the same. That said, the BB bold is also my MP3 / movie player these days so the old itouch doesnt get used much

As my plan was up I went with an Iphone 3gS as there is nothing on the horizon that can touch it.Pros, it does lots of cool sh!t and can take the place of most of the gadgets you already have, GPS, iPod etc; there are apps for every thing you could possibly imagine and it's the best looking phone out there, if you are into that sort of thing.Cons, Battery life can be an issue , especially on the older Iphones as some apps can pull a lot of power, also battery capacity will deteriorate over time which will require you to send the phone back to apple for battery replacement.Apple are *beep*, they control the apps market with an iron fist and like to tell you what you can and can't do with your phone, jailbreaking fixes this but it can leave you susceptible to viruses. The front is glass so care must be taken, I dropped my Nokia 6110 many times and it never missed a beat, but dropping an iphone can be terminal, if you do get one make sure you get a hard case for it, at least then it will have a sporting chance.Lastly they are data hogs, make sure you know how much data allowance you have left before you surf or download as some Telcos excess data rates are criminal, you don't want to get stuck with a massive phone bill at the end of the month. I use my home WiFi to do my heavy downloading and save the 3G data to check emails and light surfing when I am away from home.

Looks like I will be hanging onto the 6110 navigator for a while yet.
