My car had been booked in for a couple of months and was due to be at the store last wednesday however they knew I may have it there by tuesday. I got off work early and had the ute at the shop by 9am tuesday morning after a 3 hour trip. They told me that all the parts were there and it would take them 4 days to complete the work and I could pick it up on monday the 25th (today). I had previously told them and repeated to them on this day that I was due to start work on tuesday (tomorrow) so it would work out good. I told them I would be staying an hour down the road while the work was being carried out and would come back up on monday to pick the ute up...The had all my contact details and were ask to call me if any dramas....So yesterday (sunday) I got a lift back to rockhampton so I could pick my car up this morning. Gave them a call this morning and there was no answer.... got a lift over to the shop and shes closed up!!!!They told me I could come back to mick my car up and they aren't even open, and they didn't even call to tell me that things have changed, and now I can't get back home for work..... and now I'm pissed becuase tomorrow is a public holiday and I now have no idea when I'm getting my car back....What should I do/say when I finally confront them.... I chose this shop becuase they were highly recomended, and these people knew I have drove 300k to use them you would think they would try and look after you... I guess notCameron

See if you can get a separate receipt/invoice for the extra few nights from the hotel, and make them pay that portion of your stay at least. Where is the curtosy these days. a phone caqll on the friday would be nice to say "hey its aust day on tue, we gonna have a 4 day weekend so what do you want to do with picking up your car?"I'm with setting of the alarm,

Guest XR09 Guests Posted 25/01/10 06:40 AM Share Posted 25/01/10 06:40 AM If they do have an alarm. (and I was only kidding. But if I had the sh*ts!!!) they will have the name of the secutiry company on a plate out the front. If their just a local firm they might ring the guy for you. But my bet is it's not finished and that's why they did not ring you in the first place.
