There is currently 2300km on the clock. There were 950km on the clock when I went up. When up in Nelson Bay on the Friday, the car was great. Took some cousins for a spin and they all loved it. No real hammering, just some quickish accelleration in 1st and 2nd (the car had about 1470km on the clock). Fill up premium unleaded at a Mobil servo there and then funny stuff seemed to start. 1st gear is great Accelleration seems spot on, but when I put it into 2nd and beyond, the motor seems to be sorta misfiring/giving up the ghost and in idle there is a hell of alot of clicking going on, sorta like the tappet clicks of the old XF motors. I never noticed the clicking in idle before. With the "misfire in second and beyond" problem, I thought.. hrrmm.. Traction control must be kicking in, but no flashing red wheel on the dash. I'm thinking that the fuel is the cause, but one of my cousins works at a FORD dealership (just an apprentice) and he recons that maybe one of the sensors around/in the exhaust may have gone faulty (apparently common). I've heard in other threads of this kind of this problem. But I'm hoping that it's just the fuel. The motor seems quite rough. Oh and at idle, the car seemed to sway slightly with the idle.I've also noticed other things. The driveline shunt is pretty loud for my liking. Even worse than the ol' crappy XF ever was (and the XF was bad). The painted fuel lid isn't painted on one edge and is noticable at a great angle (suprised PD didn't notice it). On the way back to Canberra, the car seemed to have a vibration at about 120km/h+ (speedo reading). Even on smoother stretches of freeway.Other than these problems, everything seems fine. I'm glad atleast, that the oil level seems to be at the same level always. The Handling is still great and alot of heads do seem to turn I also gave my WRX driving cousin a drive (with this "problem") and he didn't seem to notice it and loved every minute of driving it (I noticed the lack of power, but is it because I am getting used to it). I was in the passnger seat when he was taking around some roundabouts and boy did the XR6T handle them extrememly well and I certainly was almost "sh*tting" myself. I still haven't taken my T to it's limits That said, It's certainly off to the dealers soon.
