Hello all, I have a small question which can be answered very quickly....

Im just about to replace my brake pads on all four sides...my question is does the piston simply screw back in or is it a g-clamp job...Thx

never used a clamp on mine depends how hard they are ,usually a bar between the pads and force them apart before you pull the pads out , a small g clamp would be handy if you find there very hard to re seat

just remember they are 2 piston so push one side in the other comes out. think I used a bit of 2mm steel plate to hold one side and pried the other in off that with a pry bar.

never had that prob mate leave the pad in and clamp or bar against the pad and it pushes both pistons back in at the same time

Yes they push back in, as said push both at same time. And obviously make sure that noone pushes the brake pedal while any of the pads are out or you could pop a piston out of your caliper.

Look on the DBA website with the how to youtube video

they show how its done and remind you to clamp the brake line so you dont ruin the ABS

I looked, and on Youtube, but couldn't find any reference to clamping the brake lines, or mention of the ABS side of things. :stickpoke:

Watch your brake fluid level too. If you are going from really worn out pads to new ones and the fluid level is full, it can seep out of the reservoir when u push the pistons back into the calipers.
