hi guys, I have a problem with my starter motor and I did some searching but can't seem to find any advice on how to remove it, I'm sure it would of been talked about before, can someone point me in the right direction?

cheers

hi Adam

the solenoid is clicking in and out but starter motor not turning, so I thought I would remove it and check it out on the bench, if its any thing like my young blokes Late model camira ute it will be a mission to remove. so I thought I would ask before I get underneath and check it out.

Perhaps a silly question and a bit of a cliche response, but it's not a dud battery is it?

As far as the actual answer to your question though I got NFI....can't imagine it being simple :roflmbo:

Very simple, just fiddly. Get under the car, two bolts holding the starter. Bottom bolt is easy, top bolt is a fiddly *beep*. Out it comes. Oh, take the wiring leads off it too.

Check that the wiring isn't loose. I've seen the nut on the starter come loose and cause this.

Flat battery would've been my guess too.

You could bridge it in the car, saves taking it out.

If you do take it out remove the negative lead from the battery first.
