No no no....you got it all wrong. The kids of today are all bad remember :buttrock:

You're absolutely right, some of the stories I hear of what my parents and their generation got up to on the roads leaves me in amazement.

When you're on P's, it's zero tolerance.

Which I think is a crock of sh*t. What's to say that driving with 0.04 will be any different for the same person on green P's compared to full license.

My brother when he was on his P's got bretho'd twice both times he had been drinking blew under .05. Both times they failed to check the P displayed on his window lucky bugger.

The other week in Melb had 3 beers at a BBQ, left to drop off the mrs and her sister and hit a booze bus, first time going though one knowing I had something to drink....not to sure what the reading was but the copper said, drive safely with the girls in the car and have a good night. I was packing myself.

Most of drink driving I guess is done in the morning after a big session, when I was 18-21, I usually waiting around to like noon to leave a mates place.

Would be interesting to see the same poll but done with two groups. The under fourties to the over fourties.

This is about the age bracket when Randon breath testing came in.

I bet the kids of today are a lot smarter than us fossils.

But is it peer pressure not to drink and drive or fear of getting caught.

yes that's a more accurate indication. I fit the high bracket so to speak. Before RBT lot's of poeple drove when they were considered by todays standards drunk. Myself included. Since RBT I think I was mature enough to understand that there's no future in it. A lot of others did as well obviously. I've been fortunate in that my kids grew up knowing not to drink and drive. And I'm not saying just having a couple and stopping, I'm talking no booze at all if they are driving. Unfortunately others don't realise it and continue not to. The transition from no RBT to RBT was far harder for that (my) generation than the generations who have grown up with it. I know lots of kids that are like my kids. They don't drink at all when they are going ti drive. It's a pity that there are idiots out there that think they are invincible.

Sorry rooster I did not mean to railroad your great idea. I was a bit tired of THE KIDS of today all being branded fools for a few bad squirrels.

I have driven over the limit. On my P's (0.00 BAC limit in NSW). Although, I believe I would have been under the limit if I had my full licence. So slighty different story. I wasn't swerving around the road etc. But still one of the stupidest things I have done as I could have lost my licence and gained an un-savoury record which would not have helped with possible future plans.
