I have a 3yr old F6 Typhoon, over the last few months I have been getting an odd thump under the front left hand side, sounds very much like a rock hitting the underside of the vehicle, which is what I thought it was at first until I started to hear it when the car was stationary at the lights and last time stationary in a car park. The odd thing is that it only happens every once in a while and may take up to 100ks before it happens again and only one thump. I know this sounds weird and I dont want to take it to the Ford service without some clue because unless they hear it I doubt they will have any idea and will want to take it for extensive testing and charge me big bucks to do it. I just wondered if the collective mechanical knowledge on this site might have a clue. Any advice would be appreciated.Cheers, Pete

If the motor tries to fold over the drivers side front guard you need a new engine mount.

Thanks for your interest and advice. Much appreciated. Edited 04/02/10 12:41 AM by PerthPete
