As I look more into the different type of exhaust dump pipes for the GT3540,A ) A merged system from turbine to cat. incorperates the exhaust outlet with the wastegate outlet.B ) A seperate exhaust outlet from the turbo with a spliced waste gate pipe merging into the dump pipe further down the system seperating the wastegate with the exhaust outlet. If you understand my words without a diagram great! Now with example A. I assume both exhaust gas and waste gate gass merge together within one large tube,While Example B you have the exhaust gas venting seperate from the wastegate gas..This being would it be possible. though highly illegal. only race intended to use Example B. venting the integral waste gate gasses to atmoshpere without the use of changing to an external waste gated turbo. Strange I know but thinking if the face of the turbine butting against the turbine flange is flush with the exhaust dump flange along with a gasket. Parting the both ports so no leaks from the exhaust exit the waste gate pipe this could be possible? Just wondering if there are any techs that know the GT3540 rear housing and if this could even be feasable?ThanksDan. And at under $1k seems like good value

This is due to there being no gasket or seal between the internal gate and exhaust wheel. Best off going with ETM's modded exhaust housing with external gate. This is really only needed for high power applications.Benny.
