I’m installing a new engine in my XRT BFii in the next week or so and have come across MRC Dyno & Performance in Castle Hill. He was recommended by Atomic to I feel fairly confident with them but wanted to know if anyone had any feedback. They havent been mentioned on any threads on this site that ive seen so keen to hear if anyone knows anything about them

Everyone has their personal choice on tuners. Some are good, some are not so good. Look at the workshops history and what they have achieved.

I go with CV Performance in Taren Point. You'll find them in numerous magazines for the builds they have done, and the records they have made. There are others out there too, but I find these guys exceptional. But then that is only my opinion :)

Thanks mate. Appreciate the advice and to be honest id love to use them not only because of their history and success but they are close to home, but they are nearly double what others are charging. I understand that in life you pay for what you get but in this case it comes down a simple equation of available $$$$ , and after shelling out some serious coin for the engine, I simply cant afford the extra $2k they want.

ive always found cv to one of the cheaper ones to be honest maybe the up front cost may be more sometimes but in the long run its going to cost less or about the same

with .......... I can only speak from my own experience better results ive had my car tuned by a few tuners and like anything once you start playing with things and your chashing big power your going to have problems but this is when its both cheaper and better have somebody who has been working on these cars for years doing the work as they will be able to find the problem and resolve it faster and more than likely for less money $$$$$$

experience is something that cant be learnt over night and problems do arise when tuning or fitting a new engine

cheers trev
