I asked what it was causing the fault. They said the driveshafts weren't great, but the main noise was coming from the tailshaft that was out of balance. Once they balanced everything right out, it all came good.The reason I was leaning towards the diff was that the tailshaft is all of 4,000kms old and had been balanced when installed of course. Also the noise was being transmitted from the diff. But those guys had their heads screwed on right. Car is awesome again. If Ford didnt fix it in this instance, it would have been the last straw for me and this would have been the last Ford I would buy. But I have renewed confidence! If only Ford would fix their dealers up so they all were like this one. People would never leave Ford...
