May I suggest a defensive/advanced driver course... :buttonit:

I'm all for driver training but crashes like this prove that while you may be able to teach someone to drive better, you cant teach someone common sense regardless of how good their driving skills may or may not be. 5 passengers in the car could have told the driver to slow down at any stage. Either they also lacked common sense or the driver didnt listen which proves my point that stupid people kill others

"The car was overloaded and police are investigating a report that a passenger may have been hanging out of a window earlier in the night." Would driver training fix this sort of attitude??

Too right, shame there's no lessons out there for teaching common (oxymoron) sense.

Looking at the pic from Dags' link....got me f'ed how anyone survived that. :buttonit:

she was most likely the outside passenger and had 3 people in the backseat to cushion the inpact.

Unfortunately this sort of thing will not stop no matter what anyone does. To say you've never done anything stupid behind the wheel of a car during your lifetime is rubbish as everyone has to some degree.

It's like smoking, everyone knows it could kill you but that’s not enough of a deterrent to give it up.

Looks like I'm surrounded by angels in here. :3gears:

Very very tragic, but for anyone to claim they've never overloaded there car or exceeded the speed limit by a stupid amount is either full of sh*t or the next saint in waiting.

I'm with you Tabage! it IS a tragic, UNLUCKY event, BUT for you lot to come on here and act all high and mighty and suggest that you have never done stupid things like that when you were that age, is just plain and utter :buttonit: and very disrespectful to those who are now left behind.

When I was that age, I lost more then one mate and mates of mates to car accidents. It's horrible, particularly on the parents, they never seem to the same again. For their mates though, we knew what they were like behind the wheel, so it ALMOST came as no surprise. It's not so much the death of the people, it's the families and friends they leave behind, they are the real loser in all this.

BTW, it's definitely a BF XR6 N/A. Look at the rear muffler in this photo.

I guess you can understand why the Vic Police are getting desperate to the point of madness to stop the carnage.

Five more kids gone and another one with a ruined life, not to mention the families and friends of the deceased. They must have been going at a hell of a speed to completely wrap an XR6 around a tree.
