Wingnut Member 573 Member For: 16y 4m 19d Gender: Male Posted 17/01/10 12:09 AM Share Posted 17/01/10 12:09 AM (edited) I dont want to start a sh*t fight TAB, but I can honestly say I have never exceeded ANY speed limit by more than say 40kms and that would have been on a freeway and not for a while. Really cant afford to lose my licence or car. Obviosuly still being a dickhead but there is a big difference between 140/100 zone and 160/60 zone... Posted 17/01/10 12:20 AM Share Posted 17/01/10 12:20 AM Tab...put your brain in gear before hitting the keyboard mate Wingnut is right in what he says, there's a time and place for everything and you can't compare a bit of speed on a safe road or cramming an extra person in your car for a short trip home to..... Putting six people in a car driven a 19 year old "P" plater at 160+ kmh!!!

Wingnut - 140 km/h in to a tree would have minimal difference to this outcome, even if the car was legally loaded.

Posted 17/01/10 12:41 AM Share Posted 17/01/10 12:41 AM How can anybody not get "emotional" about the tragic waste of 5 (maybe 6) young lives..... This should be compulsory viewing for ALL kids getting a licence these days mate.... Like I said, there's a time and place and being aware of the potential repercussions of your actions is all.... I do not for one moment disagree with that. From personal experience though I can categorically say that I and many others have been in a similar scenario in my younger days, and had something have gone wrong (I.e. pothole, blown tyre etc.) then I wouldn't be here today to tell the story. The car appears to be "Blueprint", which means it's an early BA,BF going by the fog light surround...only thing other than the wheel that still resembles a motor vehicle...ABC Melbourne - Five killed in horrific high-speed crash

Apologise for that, I took your reply the wrong way mate... Yes it was a very stupid thing to do, and five deaths could have easily been avoided. Ain't that the truth, I shudder when I think of some of the things I've gotten away with in my youth that could easily have resulted in a similar headline to the above. For all those who struggle to think of gifts for their kids on birthdays, Xmas etc.... May I suggest a defensive/advanced driver course... My girls are 33 and 26 and I consider the 800 odd bucks it cost for them both to be money well spent. Oh'...and Dags...yes you may be correct. Apon closer inspection, the car could be Shockwave (Ba or Bf)not that it matters much now Edited 17/01/10 01:13 AM by BionicXR6T
