Hi All,

I am a new FG XR6 Turbo. This is my 1st Ford and it rocks. I am a Turbo virgin and I need the expert opinions of fellow owners who have tried and tested.

Please not that I am in regional VIC (Lakes Entrance) so that may effect solutions.

I have a spare $1,000 to spend on starting some mods for my 2008 FG XR6T and I would like to know some suggestions on what would be the best starting point to give me the best bang for my buck to get some extra performance.

The car is stock at present.

I was thinking of something along the lines of KN filter/dual air intake and bigger cat. But as I said, I don't know where to start and would love some feedback.

I will do further mods down the track, so bear that in mind also.

Thanks Guys and Gals.

Start with a flash 3 & Custom tune.

Bang for buck is definately a Flash tuner and custom tune on the dyno. Should see you get to around 280rwkw with your car producing approx 245-250rwkw standard. Then after that look for some injectors and high flow cat. You'll need some better brakes once you get to this stage I'd say.

the flash tune will eat most of that grand so try save some more you can get alot of power out of the fg engine another ten grand should see it well into the 400rwkw mark.

Too much money.

Don't bother with generic tunes either. And the injectors will not slot straight into your car.
