OK, there have been many comments that both support and disagree with the Expensive Daewoo product. It would be good if we could move forward and focus more importantly on the new FPV GT. That is the Coyote powered version. My personal feelings are that this is indeed a very important engine. Unlike the pushrod operated offerings from Chev these things are technically advanced. Multivalve, Variable Value timing etc. But what I find interesting that they have a square bore configration, now before you all go off tap, I am talking about bore/ stoke. There seems to be some pretty strong evidence that this configuration is desirable when using forced induction. Now I believe that forced induction is the future. Smaller engines high output, but when cruising around cheap to run. By using a supercharger as a manufacturer you have some contol in relation to mods. Turbo at this point is much harder. But I do feel that the future of this engine is twin turbo As supercharging is parastic in nature, that is uses power to make power as turbo does not. So in 5-8 years you will see a different beast but rest assured the oppostion will respond, and if history is an indicator it will be with full force. And I hope so because without this competition we might all be driving four cylinder cars that we optioned with a down draught weber, cheers

roflmbo.gif I'm sure this new V8 is all the good things that people wanted.

But $ for $..... pound for pound. It aint gunna rattle the 6's cage. I hope it does.

I hope I can trade up to an F6 next year when every one wants the V8 and the ass falls out of the 6's market. Plz plz plz

The turbo 6 can cheaply and easily be dialled up to 320rwkw. And is reasonabley cheap to rebuild or take to the next level.

And now they are comen place @ around $35 thou on the used market... too cheap, too easy. Too good.

This is XR6turbo.com isn't it ?????

And FFS laugh will ya. That's what seperates this forum from all the stuck up, stuffed up other ones out there.

Thanks for the personal insult mate, but I'll take it as a compliment...

I was referring to the W427 I believe, not the aftermarket special you provided. So I standby my comments... I'm not interested in what there is in the aftermarket, this discussion is about OEM performance.

Enough from me on this. :)

Sorry, but you were replying directly to my post regarding the clubsport in which I made no mention of the W427 nor was it mentioned in the 10 plus posts before mine.

It just get's frustrating when people change there story all the time.

But what of the fate of the Falcon? Will this engine be the last new v8 it sees? Is the end still 2015? Will Ford Australia release a last hero GT before it all ends? Will the SCGT become one of the most sought after falcons?

There is a lot of hype surrounding this engine, I hope it lives up to it...
