I entered that comp too. Some of the winners' entries were an absolute joke. They didn't even answer the question correctly which leads me to believe they randomly selected the winners instead of being a 'skill' based entry as advertised. Anyway, enough of my jealousy. :roflmbo:

Sounds like you had a ball. Can't wait for the reveal (although the wait so far has been too long).

Your chance to win a test drive of the new FPV!

Plus join the TopGear team for a weekend of camping on the Hill at the Bathurst 1000!

Win a chance to be the first to test drive FPV’s raucous new FPV GT… all the way to Bathurst, where you’ll join the TopGear team for a weekend of camping on The Hill.

That’s right, the new FPV GT is so top secret we can’t even show you what it looks like yet, but by the time Bathurst weekend rolls around, the drop sheet will be gone and you’ll be among the first people in the country to get to drive it, from Sydney to Bathurst for the Great Race.

Our two winners will also get a tour of the pits, some FPV clobber and, if you’re very lucky, a bowl of Coco Pops prepared by the catering crew behind all our TopGear shoots. You’ll also get to hang out with several TopGear staffers for the weekend and be mildly amused/annoyed by their witty banter, or lack thereof. You will, however, have to help them pitch their tents, as they’re not very good at it.

Entry to comp here

Yeah I was the photo with the XT Falcon ute in the picture and I told them about how I saw a Phase 3 on Mt Panorama when I was boosting around in my Turbo haha. Probably the best car related day of my life

Whilst at the design studio I saw the rear bar of the new XR8 being milled out of clay (clay model) and the XR8 had the quad pipe setup for the new V8. So that would pretty much confirm XR8 is still around.

Oh does it?

Just a motor? why is it not worth an extra 5k? heck - everyone pays an extra 4k for just a turbo! Not to mention every FPV owner who saw fit to fork out tens of thousands extra for some stickers and more power

Fact is the buying public will decide whether this very different powerplant is worth the extra dough and the sales will tell the tale. My guess is f*ck yes.

Lets cut the crap, an f6 fg is capable of a 12.3 @114pmh - this new V8 better dust the six cylinder in a comprehensive manner - otherwise f*ck no - lets keep it REAL...Cheers XR6T 747 :buttrock:
