No they won't build a modern day gtho because there are so many differing opinions of what that is in today's society... but they do have the balls to build something that will obliterate any previous gtho... it just be called a gtho!

A standard XT Falcon would obliterate a GTHO around a track. You can bet that any GTHO from FPV will involve a lot of stickers, limited edition badging and all the options. I am sure they will build it and harde core fans will never be happy, but the speculators will buy them and try to sell them at a premium, just like the 40th & Cobra.

I doubt we will ever see a appreciating australian made car again in my lifetime, even if it is a GTHO.

A Daihatsu Sirion GTVi Production Car laps Bathurst faster than a Phase 3 GTHO did.

If they did Build a new GTHO they need to focus on reduced weight (lighter seats, wheels and glass etc)

Serious Brakes and suspension and more power for bragging rights and not focus on more options.

Exactly what Mr M said to us earlier in the week. When asked about a supercharged version, he smiled and said 'oh I forget what they are doing there, but its going to be awesome.'

That's true, tab. But the testers, who have been testing the engine at 375kw and 620nm, are busting parts. Looks like they need to time to source stronger parts or maybe detune the engines a bit. It all takes time...

Not good for FPV if this ends up happening seeing as how FPV sell more V8s than i6Turbos.

Turns out it is the diff and IRS. And maybe not 6 months...

Looks like the 5.0 Coyote as a base is gonna be a great engine!

I wonder how much truth there is in parts breaking on the coyote cars.

We see modded 400+rwkw cars here being able to keep their ZF and Diffs together for extended periods of time without failure. The main problems seem to be CV joints and this is mostly in drag racing applications with prepped tracks and sticker tyres.

I hope we do not see a delayed launch as FPV will have nothing to sell except F6's come 30th June 2010.
