yes your right there, but would love to know the safe limit of a 5.0. but like I said you can only get in a fpv, which is up against the hsv. a xr8 is no match for a ss though. and it's fpv will change the tune.

We're starting to get a bit sidetracked, can we move this discussion to the GT section please.

That is to say that Mr GM will just sit on his hands and let Ford up the psi on the Coyote and win. I kinda doubt that....... LS9 in a Crommypoor anyone ??? 6.2 S/C Titanium rods and valves, dry sump. In a car that already out handles ours.

Freeeken win win for us the punters is all I can say. Let the wars begin.

Torque output on the N/A version of the Coyote would be it's downfall against the GM. It would have to work harder meaning less efficient. And if you did not want the blower then that is something I guess you would look at. Specially the way the I6 is so strong in that area and it's efficiency .

thanks dillz, im all for the gt supercharged 5.0. but in a n/a guise I don't think it's as good as a n/a chev.

Put the direct injection back on like the original coyote and let it rev to 7000rpm and I say that its far better then the current LS3. :roflmbo:

Apparently the end of this year or early next, we will see the N/A 5.0 in the new XR8.

This should fill the gap in Ford's model line up for the na bent 8 people who do not want to shell out for a FPV
