Could once again easily be fixed by buying a GT pulley & custom tune. Man they are going to struggle to clear old stock and used prices of the 5.4L is going to plummet haha. XtRmn8 570Nm @1800rpm Donating Members 2,441 Member For: 21y 1m 23d Gender: Male Location: Perth, WA Posted 08/10/10 06:00 AM Share Posted 08/10/10 06:00 AM Is it true the GS will be 315kw's?The drive train and engine on the GS is identical to the GT. The only difference between the two is in the tune. GS is 315kw/545Nm and GT is 335kw/570Nm. So potentially the GS should see bigger gains with a tune only. Both engines are limited to 6000rpm, while the NA 5.0 makes peak power around 7000rpm. Will be interesting to see what tune only gains area achieved. Also the GS only gets XR6T spec brakes.

Again, not bothering to dig up the link from the other forum One review mentions:We didn’t really drive for long enough at the launch to get a real-world fuel economy figure. The computer showed 15L/100km after the car was given a hard workout – not too bad at all. http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/story2/AFD23AFF814CC352CA2577B3007B9A90ok edit again, couldn't help myself# 0-100km/h: 4.9 sec# CO2 Emissions: 324/325 g/km (man/auto)# Fuel Consumption: (ADR) 13.6/13.7 L/100km (man/auto)# Fuel Consumption: (As Tested) N/A# Fuel Tank Capacity: 68Lhttp://www.caradvice.com.au/85953/fpv-gt-gt-e-gt-p-gs-supercharged-coyote-v8-review/ Edited 08/10/10 06:13 AM by -SteveR-
Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 08/10/10 06:03 AM Share Posted 08/10/10 06:03 AM (edited) GS is 315kw and according to my Ford buddy, you can hardly tell the difference between the two.Ratter is correct, the 20kw difference is in the Calibration alone, apparently there is quite a bit of headroom..Oh, that particular car, with the leather, blah, blah, is a touch under 80k.The GS will be a good base for the modders.. Then new 5.0 motor is a good starting point, apparently can rev a lot higher than the 5.4 used to.
