I think FPV's reasoning behind the 335kw is due to the "power wars" of the 1970's that killed the GTHO/XU2. If FPV dragged out a baby jeasus killing 375kw, the greenies and Harold the moron Screwby would be in front of the media saying that these cars will kill baby seals. What people have not noticed is that for the past 15 years we have seen 200kw specials rise to 335kw specials. In 10 years 400kw will not be uncommon.

I am just happy it is still 18 months before I upgrade my gar and by then we should have a GT-H with 375kw, wider rears and HID/LED lighting :dontknow:

I am thinking of ditching my FG Turbo around the release of the FPV GT/GS, for a demo/near new FG F6 or even the new FPV GS depending on prices. I am assuming (hoping) the late 09, early 10 model F6s will take a price hit.

For some reason it is more about affordable power.

BMW, Merc and other exotics (inc W427) do not put a blip on the radar, but turbo and blown taxis would.

It is more about the publix perception on a sub $60k aussie car making a lot of power, when the average punter would not see a need for 300+kw on the street.

And lets face it most people associate Bogans with HSV not an executive.

And lets face it most people associate Bogans with Ford not Holden...

more blah blah...

HSV W427??? what's that.. ? oh that still born (well basically) over priced pos...that's right... the one that didn't sell that well. Can you still buy one? could you even get one in the second hand market if you wanted to? nope... and that's not because they wanted it to be 'exclusive'.. it FLOPPED!

At least the S/C FPV's are OEM (look it up to understand its importance and potential significance outside Australia) and will be standard powertrain for many years in ALL their V8 models... more than what HSV could achieve!

;)

Loose the massive wheels, huge brakes and crappy body kit and there about 80k I think so 10k for 145kw more sounds like a good deal to me. Also pretty sure there asembled in the HSV factory pretty much the same way I assume FPV will do theres. spoton.gif

What the 375 GT HO? zzz.gif

Supercharged Clubsport specs:

470kw 770Nm 0-100 in 4 seconds flat (manual) 97k Fully optioned but as stated above in normal Clubsport trim about 80k

The new ones got even more.

stop throwing aftermarket crap at me.. I'm not interested...

There are 3 second hand W427s on car sales at the moment?

Im not saying there anything other than overpriced either

I was using it as an example that a 370KW Bogan mobile

mainly bought by cashed up miners didnt start another supercar scare.
