According to the latest Wheels magazine there is to be an entry level FPV with 315kw and the GT with 335kw. The picture they show has grilles under the headlights on either side. Wheels once again referred to the GTHO having 375kw in 2011.

It also said that the XR8 will be released next year, not sure if it will be supercharged, but the picture of the mule car they have doesn't have the grilles like the FPVs.

Yeah read this today, by the looks of it there going to be useless expensive slugs, lol.

Entry level same power as a normal GT zzz.gif Idiots, and the "high boost" one a whopping 335 yikes.gif

Give up Ford, your V8's will never compete with Expensive Daewoo so stop wasting your time with these half arse attempts. Even the so called HO will still have nearly 100kw less then the HSV Supercharged Clubsport. roflmbo.gif

Theres bound to be plenty of power left in it. Cant just release the motor at its highest potential.

Just like the LS1 when the VT came out to when they finally phased them out. How big was the power difference there.

By FPV releasing the high power version with a handfull of Kw more then HSV's prodction car. The balls in HSV's court to take the next step. Then FPV can throw a little bit more R&D at the motor and beat HSV's output. and so on and so on.

By direct comparison HSV wins everytime.

FG GT Supercharged 335kw HSV Clubsport Supercharged 470kw

They also have had the W427, Monaro and Coupe 4 that Ford have had no comparable too. The only thing Ford has big time over HSV is the Turbo 6.

I know it's only pissy little my censored.gif is bigger then your censored.gif contest but for as long as I can remember HSV has one, the only exception I can think of was the Series 3 TE50.

I wonder what the real world RWHP is between the HSV and FPV. Like the FG F6310 only having 310kw at the fly :innocent:

Isnt the supercharged clubsport a Walkinshaw addition and not a proper HSV line? Also costs near 100k with the options ticked. FPV is over 20k cheaper so bit unfair to compare them directly

Can't wait to see a direct comparison of the new 5L and a 325kw hsv... with the torque its putting out should kill the hsv.

Lets hope it can get close to the F6 down the 1/4.

What about price? How much is a supercharged hsv? And what warranty do you get with one? The position of the ss now vs ford's lineup? The higher output version waiting in the wings? Actual performance? Was everyone honestly expecting 4gigawatts of power?
