According to the latest Wheels magazine there is to be an entry level FPV with 315kw and the GT with 335kw. The picture they show has grilles under the headlights on either side. Wheels once again referred to the GTHO having 375kw in 2011.

It also said that the XR8 will be released next year, not sure if it will be supercharged, but the picture of the mule car they have doesn't have the grilles like the FPVs.

And they are also bringing the Focus RS downunder (224kw). Think it said they will be limited to 315 cars and will retail for $59,995 making it the most expensive hatch in Australia putting it in direct competition with the WRX STi.

the torque figures for the 2 variants aren't too overwhelming... but the delivery is ;)

Million dollar question....how quick are they?, dont want to play second fiddle to the F6 again

Need to be under 5 sec 0-100

Word getting around is no intercooler on either model :stirthepot:

Yes they are quick.

Intercooler is reserved for another model.

the torque figures were enough to warrant some major engineering changes, these motors have the technology to humble anything that is currently built in Australia

I've seen the figures, I've seen the graphs, I've seen the engines... what you will see tomorrow aren't that far above where the F6 is currently at. Actually one of them isn't.

The mags are about to get their hands on them so will be interesting to see what times they run.

Shame they are not cooled but apparently there is some new tech with the screws on the charger that assists with air temp?

Max torque between 2500 and 5000 odd rpm.

Weight saving of approx 30 kg over previous motor and motor now sits lower and further back in engine bay.

No difference between 315 and 335kw other than tune.

Price rises of approx $1800.00 to $2500.00 depending on model.
