It's about time I upgraded my N/A BA XR6 and now I can get one thru a salary sacrifice novated lease thru work it's appears to be an almost wise move.

Deciding on a FG XR6 Turbo sedan with the following options:

Viper paintwork,

ZF auto,

Luxury Pack,

Reversing sensors,

Reversing camera,

Technology pack,

safety enhancement pack,

aux auto cooler...

Anything I'm missing?

Anything I shouldn't be getting?

I'll have this ride for 3 years and do 75k on it - will need to cough up about 21k to keep it or give it back at the end of the lease.

out of interest what do we think a white 03 N/A XR6 auto with leather and prem audio with 187k on the odometer is worth these days? not much I'm guessing!

Sorry I've never posted on here before and it may very well be in the wrong section or something. Please forgive me!

Never had a new car before - any advice would be appreciated!

SCUFF PLATES!!!! Scuuuuuuffffff plaaaaaaaaates! God how I wanted those on a new FG. Budget led to second hand BFII T so I demand to live vicariously through you lol. Assuming they don't come in the luxury pack or anything here.

Seduce paint is goooorgeous too so I vote for that :P

Mechanical advice would be best gotten from reading many pages of these forums, especially stickies in each section. And find a reputable tuner if you cna get it serviced there (not sure how your lease will work).

lol...definitley get the scuff plates

Only other things are mats & bootliner/bumperguard thingo...pretty lame and insignificant but they are designed to fit and do the job.

Does the luxury pack come with 18 or 19" wheels?

...oh and :buttrock:

Yeah I'm with Tab, scuff plates. Think they are only like $80 or something :)

Good idea Tab!

Can't take the credit for that idea Steve, that goes to the legend that posted before me.

They might even come standard these days? :idunno: They are on the G6ET at least.

scuff plates are an easy 70 bucks on ebay no biggie, though they should be standard!

I don't think I'll be getting anything thrown in considering the ford fleet discount is indeed massive

As for servicing it's all included and dictated in the lease- servicing must be done at ford, fuel must be from shell etc.

that boot protector thing does look interesting, I'd really like a sunroof but apparently no can do on the FG models oh dear

the luxo pack includes 19s I don't really like the look of them but they might be ok with the purple paint

I'll complete the paperwork and order this thing next week!

Here's hoping it doesn't take too long

thanks heaps peoples!

Next week? What's wrong with tomorrow??? :w00t2:

Some dealers will organise the sunroof as an aftermarket fitment, although don't think they are actually supposed to because of the roof integrity or some crap.

Anything I'm missing?

Go the tow bar - the flexibility it gives you can never be over-stated. Sun-roof only if it's factory fitted - as Tab says.

Good luck with the purchase mate

Perhaps come on a cruise with us later on in the year :stupid:
