I am coming to AUS in a short while and I want to know if I can possibly buy a flasher that I can just plug in and everything would already be ready to go for my MKII BF Turbo Ute?also the petrol quality here isnt that great. we have 95octane, 97octane(altho I am not even sure its 97 half the time), and 100octane(very very rarely comes). I hear there are different tunes for different petrol types as well which can be switched backwards and forwards. also if I buy a secondhand unit from another BF MKII xr6t ute, would that mean that I could unlock it and just put it in my car and it would work no problem because it is already tuned???ideas would help!!thanks alot.also without any mods whats a reasonable psi that I could be achieving with a flash considering my petrol quality? You can contact any of the sponsors on this site as they all can help you with the flasher and ensure the correct tune is loaded. As for the fuel, I would advise the tuner about the fuel quality as it makes a huge difference as to the tune they will load for you. There are 3 slots in the flash tuners, so they could load a 91/95/98RON tne or what most do is a race (or 98RON) a low octaine and a valet tune so the car cannot rev above 3000rpm.The 2nd hand ECU would not work without Ford programming it for your car.
