Real Posted 12/01/10 09:50 AM Share Posted 12/01/10 09:50 AM hey all! ok so I have being posting these posts around a bit and I am just looking for my final answer before calling and making the order for a new clutch! I have being looking very much so into the Malwood option 3 clutch range and also a new one on my mind the Xtreme Clutch range.for living in South Australia (where Xtreme clutch is located) I think it would be ideal and safer choice incase I encounter a problem involving the product.Has anyone fitted the following clutches from Xtreme?1... (HD) HD Pressure Plate with Organic clutch disc 2... (DCBHD) HD Pressure Plate Combined with Cushioned Button Disc3... (DCBXHD) XHD Pressure plate combined with Cushioned Button Disc I certainly like the sound of the 3rd option being the XHD clutch for my XR6T.I am aiming to run about 300-320RWkw's with mostly street driving along with one or two track days and a bit of fun here and there.if anyone has ny of the following products what is the drivability like and power ratings along with the "wear and tear". Any help would be great :Dthanx

To put it simply it was crap, welded itself to the flywheel on the first one, they replaced annd it did it again with the smallest amount of slip. The second time wasn't as bad and I managed to get it off by banging the car into gear without using the clutch pedal. After that I ditched it for a textralia clutch that I can't kill with an extra 70rwkw.I have driven a few XR's with the Mal Wood Opt 3 and they are great, very easy to use and seems to hold the power with no problems what so ever. I have the xtreme,,(number 3 on your list) and it holds over 300kw easily, BUT, the friggen thing shudders like all hell. Been in the car for a couple of years and it's starting to go bad cos you can hear it heat up when you try to take of smoothly off a hill,,,which you can't by the way, and it shudders like crazy. Hated it, was noisy as hell too if you rode it (on a hill start etc).
