Bosco, what do you base this opinion on ?

If you are talking about race performance, then I would agree, but the Brembo's are nearly 1/2 the cost and are more than required for road and occasional track work.

I did 10 laps of Wakefield Park with my 6/4 Brembos and they did not fade or suffer in any way. Also your brakes will not stop your car any faster than Brembos, under normal conditions.

Only after many hard track laps would you notice any difference.

P.S they look hot and fill the rims perfectly :wub:

im comparing to my exp at mallala ,been there with brembos and the harrops and there was a big diff.esp the back straight.as for under normal conditions there would be no difference I must disagree surly your not saying that regardless of what brakes you have they all stop at the same braking distance and all have the same friction cohesion factor. If that's the case I will save meself a bucket load of cash put on the stock falcon brakes and buy the 50 buck brake pads

The stock brembo discs and pads dont compare vs the other after market brake kits as they are an OEM fit item and were made with this in mind, throw on some DBA 5000 rotors and good pas and the difference between the 2 setups is huge.

Bosco, have had this argument on here many times.

If brakes are capable of locking up the wheels, or activating the ABS, then larger brakes will make no difference.

The only thing larger brakes will do is allow you to punnish the brakes more on the track as they will dissapate the heat better giving more consistant stopping, where stock brakes will cook and fade.

Fitting larger brakes and better tyres will improve the stopping distance, but brakes alone will not.

Tyres is what makes the main difference. I would stop a car quicker with stock brakes and slicks, than you would with fancy brakes and crap tyres.

your telling me brembo 6 pots vs standard 2pot pbr's will have the same stopping distance if on the same tyres?

Abs will only activate if you lock the wheels, not hard to do in any car. The key is MODULATION,if you can manage that, then the big brakes will stop you miles before the STD ones.

Awesome stoppers mate. They would rip the front strait out of an FG.

Brembo blocks are as good if not better than any on the market for the same value. Their rotors make an average anchor and that's about it.

The brake feel needs to be noted... there is alot more controll over the stopping power

Yep if we are talking about 1 stop from say 100km/h there would be no difference. If you did it more than once, the stock brakes would be more prone to fading due to the heat.
