Found approx. A 2mm shaft movement side to side. No in out movement. Cleaned turbo filter screen today but read somewhere tonight it's betta to just replace them or go for the aftermarket type going around..DOH! Anyway found a minor score on the housing of the turbo (saw it when doing boost solenoid maint.) should I be worried?? I'm going to keep a close eye on it to see if there is any further scratching but still wouldn't mind some peace of mind don't wanna lose too much sleep thinking my turbo's gunna sh*t itself. Thanx in advance...

Be worried. The compressor wheel should not come into contact with the housing.

Get a quote to get it sorted before it gets worse.

Im going to frequently check it. I think it could have happened before when it wasn't getting any oil to the turbo bearings giving it abit more play. After changing the oil screen the bearing noise has all but gone with the bonnet up listening for it (whereas b4 it was easily audible with the bonnet down).
