They are 12mm thick so will lift the throttle body and give you more volume in the plenum as well as keepn it cool? This pics without the plenum insulator. Posted 16/06/10 12:28 PM Share Posted 16/06/10 12:28 PM They reckon that the volume of the plenum should be around 80% of the volume of the cylinders to which it is connected so im not sure what the standard one is. I was thinking that 12mm would be enough to get more clearance off the cover under the pipe work, maybe for a bigger pipe.Im thinking of putting some 5" pipe from the standard air box to the turbo with a water/air intercooler back to the throttle body so there will be some short pipe work.Out here the temp off the roads gets pretty hot.
