Also ask for a TCE not a dominator. Especially if you go through bayswater auto's. I had heaps of issues with their auto and with thier dominator convertor.

what kind of issues did you have?? I got a Bayswater auto and TCE converter

had a 2800 dominator in my car. was good for 300rwkw... now that im running way over 350 I needed to up the stallie. running 3500rpm. depends how much power your looking for. if your not goin over 330, stick with 2800.

*Beep* im not sure where you get your info on stalls!!a 2800-3000rpm is what you want to go with the factory turbo provides nice boost of the line with plenty of people running 1.5 1.6 60fts with this size convertor,if your running a bigger turbo then you would go a bigger convertor as boost comes on a little later!ive done the 3500 stall went backwards quite badly.

I'll back that up. We tried a 3500 and it was way too loose for the factory turbo running 370rwkw. Power went backwards as well as driveability and economy. It would flash to about 4200rpm in 3rd from memory. Not a good combo.

just an example David from Blueboost did a 1.43 60ft a while back from a 3000rpm convertor, oh and ran a 9sec pass with it.

So that's one example that you dont have to go way over the top on a convertor.

well im just speaking from my experience. I dont know if somethgin else major was changed from my dominator to tce conversion but some custom crap was done and yeah.... the 2800 stalli was all over the dyno. reading from 230-340rwkw. multiple dynos etc. Ive got a thread up somewhere on it. TCE done a custom rebuild on mine and now its a monster. I doubt everyone pays for customized crap so I cant really comment on everyones. But I had issues with my car for a while...long thread over it.

I was told a 2800 was what I wanted, so got it, but in the end, wasnt big enough.

It will also depend on the tune of course.
