power_slide Hitting the apex Donating Members 596 Member For: 16y 3m 13d Gender: Male Location: Miranda Posted 10/01/10 01:32 AM Author Share Posted 10/01/10 01:32 AM Looking at your dyno charts, its impossible for your turbo to hold boost the way it is at that power level without having boost leak.These 35/40 turbos are internally gated and cannot handle big boost levels even when ported.It seems to me like your turbo has already been moded.After reading the forum I thought the same thing so I started enquiring at pulse the cost of doing the actuator as it seemed to be the cheaper of the 2 options when I was told I can do it but its a waste of money by joe at pulse.I did not do any work for the first 100,000 ks as I wanted to use warranty seeing its a work horse. the last 10,000 k I have done all the modsat 80k ford had to machine the head so im guessing they took the turbo off then but that is the only time it has been taken off. and I dont think they would have changed the actuator or ported it under warranty.I guess it is possible to leak and maybe they have accomidated for this in the tune. is there any way the chart can show a false reading?
