Hi all :beerchug:

Installing Rapid V2 Cooler plus Plazmaman Cold Side piping on the weekend with a mate, and just wanted to check with you lot that ive got everything I need to do it myself.

Ive got all the brackets of course for the cooler, so im right with that..

-with the cold side piping, do I hook up the standard BOV to it? Or do I need an aftermarket one?

-hot side im using the factory for now, im assuming I dont need a silicone reducer/expander and its the same size to the rapid cooler?

-have a dose pipe setup for now until I get a proper CAI, ive just got a 3 inch 90 degree alum bend with a pod filter clamped on, what size peice of silicon do I need to attach to turbo? Is it 3 inch too?

Is there anything else ive missed?

Ive got it booked in to be tuned in around 2 weeks so ill try to go easy till then for the sake of overboost.

Thanks for any replies!

Got the cooler and piping in yesterday.

Cheers Chris for the help with the vacuum hose and BOV questions I had.

Its a little crooked and too high on one side, but ill play with and adjust the brackets next weekend. Its just too bloody hot in the brutal Brisbane sun today.

Dose pipe was a real bastard to get in and I dont really like the sound it makes. The old setup with a just a hint of a flutter was better. I was wondering how much difference in sound there will be when I get my CAI that sits under the headlight instead. Will different shaped/sized pod filters make different sounds?

Ill be dropping it into RDP at Redcliffe for a retune this coming Friday so we will see how it performs this time round.

Im currently on 270rwkw@13psi which I think is a fairly tame tune for the setup I had before yesterday.

-The old F6 cooler

-60lb injectors

-Full 2.5' twin XForce exhaust

-Valve Springs

-Fuel pump

I not really going to try to estimate the power I might get out of it. Ill just let the guys who know what theyre doing get it however they think is best. I dont have a trans cooler for the 4 speed auto, but im very respectful of the box in regards to the way I drive it, I limit my downshifting etc.. and it doesnt miss a beat so I think ill be just fine with whatever power comes out of it as far as the transmission goes.

Ok, went down to RDP at Redcliffe this morning for the custom tune.

Lee called me after the first power run and explained to me that my car was running like a dream WITHOUT being custom tuned. AFR's, boost and everything was all OK, hence no need to touch it.

Power went from 349HP at wheels to 413HP at wheels.

Im stoked to say the least. How often does this happen?

Cant speak highly enough of the guys at RDP. Theyll never try to sell you something you dont need.

First 3 ones are the old graphs, then last 3 are the new.
