So ive had my tornado for over a week now and I wont more power haha...

funny I say this too comming from a toyota camry...

I was thinking of just gettin a flash Box (Xcall3) IF that's what all the tunner's are using to tune cars with now days..

And using one of the genitic tunes for a little bit of power an fuel saving untill I can save up for a better set up down the track..

So Can any one explain these tunes on the programs and do they have diffrent tunes for a f6 over the xr6t?

And what kind of incresses did you find from just this? I think ill have to regap the plugs to 8mm I think for the tunes...but please tell me all you know about these flash tunes an that

Thank You In Advance!!

Keith

When I bought one of the xcal3 flash tuner, I was expecting a power increase when I re flash my car with one of the genitic tuners but if there was an increase I didn't feel it. I decided to do a few 0- 100 and 80 - 120 tests. I was using a stop watch which isn't the best but the times didn't reduce. ( My car is an auto xr6t ute )

My advise is ring a couple of tuning houses, decided power you want and then speak to them.

Also with a ute I think one of the biggest problem is getting the power to the ground. My ute is making over 300 rwkw but the 0-100 is only a little quicker (it just spins).

I wouldnt bother with the generic tunes..

90% of the time they are useless and put your engine at risk of dying..

as a generic tune I suited to a wide range of your model of car...

it may not suit YOUR car, as no 2 cars are the same..

I would be saving up your $$$ and getting a custom tune rather than getting eager and throwing a generic tune in...

I ordered a flash2 stge 2 from capa months ago, which consisted of flasher, injectors and 12 psi generic tune. When I ordered they asked me what mods I had done and how many km's where on it. the mods were all bolt ons, throttle body, growler intake, 3 inch cat back exhaust. Put tune and injectors on and ran the gauntlet for 6 months. Put a 700horse cooler and pipework and under battery intake and ran for 2 weeks with any dyno time. At this stage the charictoristics of the car had changed, over 350 flywheel kw's I thought, so I knew it was it was time for valve springs and dyno check. put it on dyno boy was I wrong. 408flywheel kws perfect tune, so you can be lucky but dont do what I did. I lost alot of sleeps.
