My Car

BA MKII 6 Speed.

Changed Diff Oil at 1500km and put in CASTROL SAF XA.

Castrol SAF-XA is full synthetic SAE 80w-140 GL5 limited slip differential oil.

At the time I also fitted a very strong Magnet in to the Filler Plug.

Today at 34859km I change the Diff Oil again. There was heaps of very fine stuff stuck to the Magnet but no BIG stuff. :)

Looks quite normal considering the kms travelled.

A magnet is a good idea also.

No large particles nmeans bearings and diff gears are all still intact.
