What do you want a surge tank for? If your circuit racing, yeah. Or if you can't keep your fuel tank level above 1/2ish when at drags, yes. But apart from that, you don't need it. An in-tank Walbro will supply enough fuel for what you want.

I beg to differ on that straughsberry, I always run a full tank at the drags for that reason as I dont have a surgetank, it has surged at 1/2 tank previously and that's with the walbro sitting all the way down.

I wouldn't rely on a intank pump for anything over 300rwkw. Sure, Plenty of people have done it. But Personally I don't like it.

Surge on a problem on sedans with low fuel, and increased power levels.

An 044, especially mounted as per a Process West setup, is better fuel setup to support higher power levels, and elimintate surge.

I've had cars, go from a intank only setup, to getting a PW Surge tank installed, and found the engine responds nicer when it has a 044 up the front.

The Afr's were correct before and after, but there is a noticeable difference in the after setup. I've even managed to put more timing in also.

The Process West surge tank is the only one I would consider for these vehicles.

A lot of people dislike the mounting method of the tank you are interested in.

The Process West unit, although more expensive, is positioned in a better spot and closer to the engine.

Any surge tank will go somewhat towards eliminating surge! Personally, I want to build (or have get built!) a removable 15-20 litre tank which will utilise the spare wheel assembly for fastening and will be removable. Along side that, there will be a similar removable NO2 bottle (did someone say cough, sneaky pete, cough cough). Some fab will have to be done but I know some guys who can handle that ;)

Moving right along, I've heard nothing but good things about the Process West unit. We all know that Kev's stuff is very well made indeed.
