Well after my car caught fire I figured it was time to put in a extinguisher just in case and thought I would share with anyone else looking at doing it.Went down to my local Supercheap and chose the one without the cheap plastic bracket.

I was trying to install it in the passenger footwell but after numerous holes in the carpet I just could not find solid ground in a suitable place to mount it. So I took it to the back seat. Being 21, no kids and mostly drive my girl around I thought hey why not. Even a rear passenger would not be stupid enough to play with it (you would hope) and there is enough leg clearance for me (6ft 4) so it should be sweet.

Looks good mate, ive got mine in the boot(not a permanent location) at the moment as I couldn't find a good spot in the cabin. That looks like a decent enough spot, don't like the idea of drilling wholes in my car though.

hey mate dont knock the plastic brackets - they work better than the steel ones and are easier to access the fire extinguisher - but then again that looks nice n shiny sitting there man :buttrock:

Piss easy to reach mate, for me anyways. Alot easier to get to than the boot that's for sure lol. I was a bit hesitant to drill into my car aswell, but you cant even see the 3 holes in the passenger footwell that I left haha the carpet covers right back up.

Yeah the plastic ones did look good dont get me wrong, I just like the idea of it being strapped in. Although highly doubtful I would not want it falling out and rolling around lol

did you hold it up opposite from the kick panel in the front foot wells to see if it fit? depending on the size of the bottle I guess

not a bad place for it. Might put one in mine soon after a battery relocation.

I see you have the same issue as me with the rear vent's on the center console falling out,

stupid vent's
