It looks like the FG bolts 90 degrees to the shift direction, so a hurst wont fit unless you put a swist in it. If so how?Thoughts on these?http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Core-Short-Throw-Shifter-2008-2013-Ford-Falcon-FG-TR6060-XR6-XR8-Ute-Turbo-FPV-/281132979203?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4174d4d403&_uhb=

I did the same as Rancidpunx and changed the oil while I had the car jacked up and the old shifter off the box, I used Castrol Dex III as recommended in the owners manual and also had a use only Dex III sticker on the gear box. I like the strong spring and the short of the my malwood in my typhoon. Also removing the rubber bush really firms up the feel. What I dont understand is why people fit a very short stick which reduces the leverage to smash those shifts. Plus its closer to the steering wheel. Malwood plus hurst. Where did you get that shifter boot?! I have the shifter and everything else and cant seem to find a shifter boot anywhere that will fit easily like that! The "surround" is the stock one in an F6.
